No. Your photos, videos and contacts are analysed on your iPhone and never leave it. Shiny has no account and no servers to send anything to.

Duplicates and similar shots can be anywhere in your library. With limited access, Shiny only sees the photos you picked, so it can't compare them with the rest. You can change this in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.

No. Shiny suggests what to delete, and you review it and confirm. For photos and videos, iOS then asks once more before anything is moved.

To the Recently Deleted album in Photos. They stay there for 30 days, so you can recover them until then.

Deleted photos and videos stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days. The space comes back when they're removed from there, either after 30 days or when you empty the album yourself. If you use iCloud Photos, they're removed from iCloud too.

Videos stored only in iCloud aren't downloaded for checking, to save data and battery. They're checked once they're on your iPhone.

Shiny saves the photo as a new still, at full quality with its date, location, favourite and albums, and moves the original Live Photo to Recently Deleted. You lose the motion and any Loop, Bounce or Long Exposure effect, and the new photo isn't in Memories, Featured Photos or shared albums. More about Live Photos.

Shiny saves a backup before every contacts cleanup. In the Contacts tab, tap the restore button at the top to bring back your contacts as they were before the last cleanup.

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Shiny. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid being charged for the next one. Pro stays on until the period ends.

Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
